The goal of the Northwest Austin Civic Association is to create a safe and fun event for everyone who participates in the parade…entries and spectators alike. Please help make our Parade safe for everyone.
NO THROWING CANDY OR GIFTS FROM VEHICLES !!! Candy and gifts may ONLY be distributed by walkers. Please do NOT hurl candy projectiles into the crowd. NO THROWING candy from vehicles-this could endanger children who might run into the street with the vehicles and floats.
NO WALKING ALONGSIDE / NEAR VEHICLES / FLOATS-
Bike or Mobile Vehicle Riders - Please remember to wear your helmet if you are under the age of 18. We recommend wearing helmets on all open vehicles for those of age 18 and over.
Driver’s Licenses & Liability Insurance - All drivers of vehicles need to make sure they possess a valid driver's license and required State of Texas Liability Insurance.
Please do not stand or sit on top of floats or lean out of your vehicle.
Animals - Horses or other animals not riding in or on a vehicle need to have their “clean up person” with them as we want to leave the streets clean.
