Lakewood Drive Construction

Lakewood at 2222

TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) is replacing the bridge on RM 2222 over Bull Creek to widen 2222, adding a left turn lane onto Lakewood, and to keep it open during even a 100-year flood event.

As of April 2007, per TxDOT, the Current Scheduled Construction Contract Letting, (bidding), is still August 2007, however the actual construction may be deferred due to some delays in the right of way acquisition process. Last plan we saw from TxDOT called for 3 phases; 6 month, 6 months, and two months.

Lakewood by the Park

In addition, The City of Austin plans to upgrade the Bridge Over the Low Water Crossing by the Park.
