Is your group
interested in marching or riding in the 41st annual NWACA 4th of July parade?
Over the years we've had groups of neighbors, friends, teachers, car clubs,
animal rescue groups, swim teams, scouts, ball teams, bands and drill teams
marching or riding in cars, trucks, trailers, boats, and floats! We'd love to
have your group in the best parade in Austin! Contactnwacainfo@gmail.comfor more information. If you would like to be in the parade.
We had food and fun for everyone on Saturday, June 15th - burgers, snow cones, cotton candy, and a movie! Thanks to our sponsors: Turnquist Partners Realtors, SmarterHomes of Austin, Austin Terrier, and Hat Creek Burger Company!
Our Current Top Concerns
Wildfire Threats are Real: Safety of our homes is a key concern for us during the hot, dry months (and years ahead). Our neighborhood is working toward making NWACA a Firewise Community, and you are invited to become part of that effort. See articles in the monthly newsletter, review the materials on this web site, and examine this link for some upcoming training.
Oak Wilt Threats Remain We have now entered the months when pruning of oaks is dangerous to your oaks and those of your neighbors. We are seeing some instances of oak wilt in the NWACA area again, so we need to be vigilant.
Avoid pruning now through June, and if you see trees that exhibit oak wilt, please contact us at nwacainfo@gmail.com
